Vincent Asokan

Vincent Asokan is a Tamil actor who is popular for his antagonist roles. He has established a career in Tamil, Malayalam, Kannada and Telugu film industry. He, like his father S. A. Ashokan, is known for negative roles. He has played the villain in about 30 movies since 2004.

He debuted in Tamil cinema in 2004 with Aai, directed by A. Venkatesh. Till 2008, he played supporting roles in flicks like 6’ 2, Thotti Jaya, Chanakya, Bangaram, Nee Vendunda Chellam, Thagapansamy, Murugaa, Aalwar, Pokkiri, etc. After playing small parts in about ten movies, cherished Malayalam Director Jayaraj noticed his excellence and cast him in a lead role in Sila Nerangalil (2008). Vincent Asokan was introduced to the film industry by A.Venkatesh in his ‘Aai’ in the year 2004. This actor has made his appearance in four different languages namely Tamil, Malayalam, Kannada, and Telugu respectively. When he was asked about his entry, Vincent thanked seasoned actor Sarathkumar. s Vincent Asokan,the son of great villain S.A.Ashokan was born at Chennai (Tamil Nadu) on October 7th. Like his father Vincent played as villain nearly in 30 movies approximately. Not only Tamil movies even Vincent performed in Telugu movies like Bangaram in 2006 and Rebel in 2012 and a Kannada movie, Lakshmi in 2013. By an average, he does three movies in a year, but 2013 made his appearance low. Next following year there are six films to be released, in which he appeared in different characters.

Thotti Jaya and Chanakya are the two Tamil films released in the year 2005. He got the best villain award for movie Yogi; this was released in Tamil in the year 2009. Vincent acted in few movies opposite Arjun. In 2014, he acted in Thottal Thodarum where he did a negative role and the movie was directed by Cable Shankar. In Ramesh Selvan’s ‘Thalaivan’ he did a don role, which had a his powerful character. In ‘Eppodum Vendraan’ directed by Sivashanmugham, he made a small appearance as a cop and In Ennamo Nadakkuthu, under director Rajapandi he played the Boxer role. Vincent also played a violent person in A.Venkatesh’s Killadi and a village brute in Arjunaraja’s Mayyam Kondien. In 2016, he acted in Tamil movie ‘Ennul Aayiram’.

There are two Tamil upcoming movies in which Vincent acted; they are Kathiri Veyil and 2010 Bhagyaraj where Kathiri Veyil will be releasing on 30 March 2017 and 2010 Bhagyaraj is scheduled to release on October 2017. Coming to his life, cinema is his passion and he did Mechanical Engineering at Coimbatore and got bound to some business affair. In the past Vincent even acted in serials.
