Thambi Ramaiah, an Indian film actor, and director is considered as the busiest actors in Kollywod appearing in maximum movies that released in 2014. Once upon a time, he did not even how to make a foray into Kollywood. Anticipating for someone to give a chance in films, he had to wait till his luck could get him a status of an actor.

Things changed when he got the national best-supporting actor in the year for ‘ Mynaa Mynaa is an Indian-Tamil language television seria >> Read More... ’ (released 2010). But he had to wait till 2013-14 when he was at the peak of a career. He works for up to four films a day and even stays 25 days (2013-14) on location for shooting his various films that were under production. He took in-charge of his make-up and costumes in the films that he starred the most.

From a small beginning, the actor had come a long way. When he was just in the age of 20, he came to Chennai to become a screenwriter. As his father was a poet, he felt he could get a break, but that did not happen. Due to lack of any contacts in the film industry, he had worked in a private company for nine years.

It was only in 1994 that he got a job as a dialogue writer for a serial in Sun TV. Later, he got an overall opportunity to become an assistant director, script writer and lyricist in TV serial. Looking for a further break in the big screen, he got an opportunity to meet P. Vasu and T Rajendar, who helped him to grow up as an assistant director in their respective films.

Even today, he considers P Vasu as his mentor in screenplay writing. He appeared in a cameo for Vasu’s film ‘Malabar Police’ (1999) with Gowndamani. Next year, he got his first directorial debut as an independent director to direct Napoleon and Murali in ‘Manu Needhi (2000). Meantime, he had concentrated in doing some supporting roles in few films that came on his way and even directed a Vadivelu starrer’ Indiralohathil Na Azhagappan’ (2008).

Due to his busy schedule later on, he never wielded his megaphone again in the directorial venture after 2008. He is known for writing dialogues for comedy scenes of Vadivelu. He associated with this celebrated comedian for a long innings. People have appreciated him for his varied roles in ‘ Kumki’, ‘Saatai’, ‘Kazhugu’, ‘Vaagai Sooda Va’,’ Osthi’, ‘ Vettai Vettai is a Tamil television show. The show falls >> Read More... ’, and other movies.
