Chandrakala

Chandrakala was an Indian film actress who did many movies in Hindi, Tamil, Kannada and Telegu. She was a popular actress of her time and acted with almost all stars. Her active years were from 1961 to 1978. She also served as a producer in many of the movies. She played a very significant role in the movie Alaigal. C. V Sridhar was the director of the movie.

Her other appreciable movies were Ulagum Sutrum Valiban, Kaalangalil Aval Vasantham, and Moondru Deivangal. Her performance as Goddess Sita in Sampoorna Ramayanam released in 1971 was highly appreciated by the critics and the audiences. She acted in Telegu movies with Krishna, KrishnamRaju, Shoban Babu and many others. Her pairing with Rajesh, Dr. Rajkumar, Vishnuvardhan, Uday Kumar in Kannada movies gained much popularity.
