Yashwant Sardeshpande is a Kannada director born in Bangalore, India. He completed his diploma, in Theatre Arts at Ninaasam Theatre Institute, Heggodu in 1985. Further, he pursued a certificate course in Cinema and Drama writing at the New York University in 1996. He has enacted in many famous series and films, including, Amruthadhare, Amerikannadotsava, and Bahrain Kannadotsava. He has contributed to many projects, including Rama Shama Bhama, Matha, Jootatata, Tutturi, and Atithi. He has won many global awards like Rajyotsava award in 2010, the Sunfeast-Udaya award in 2006 for best dialogues, the Aryabhatta award in 2003, the Mayur award in 2005, and the Global man International award in 2008.
