P C Shekar is a famous Indian film writer and a director as well. His full name is P Chandrashekhar. His first Tamil movie as a director was ‘Kadhalae en Kadhalae’ which got released in 2006. Later, he made debut in the Kannada film industry with the movie ‘Nayaka’ which released in 2010.

He got a lot of fame after this movie in the Kannada film industry, which is also popularly known as ‘Sandalwood’. After this, he entered into various genres like one of his comic drama, ‘Romeo’ was released in 2012 and ‘Arjuna,’ a thriller was released in 2015.

P C Shekhar, son of A. P. Paul Durai and Krishna Selvathy. He has two brothers and two sisters, total four of siblings. His elder brother P Mari Kumar is a Software Professional. His younger brother P Ramesh Kumar is a producer and has worked with him in three of his movies: Kadhalaeen Kadhalae, Naayaka, and Romeo. P C Shekhar got married in 2017, at a private wedding ceremony to a girl named Meghan.

The Sandalwood director posted on his Facebook page: “The goal in marriage is not to think alike, but to think together. Happy and blessed to share my life with Meghana.” He pursued his degree in B.Sc from St. Joseph’s college in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics.

He has also received his degree in MCA from Alliance Business Academy. While he was pursuing his degree, he visited the Vikram- Soorya Starrer Pitamagan shooting spot. He got captivated by film-making from that very moment, and that is when his directing career got a direction. To begin with, he made some short films like Ne Yen Nanban Da (You are my friend) and a silent movie, My Imagination.

His work got a lot of appreciation in the industry, and he received many awards in Filmfare for the same which boosted his confidence. His movie Kadhaleen Kadhale which was in the Tamil language which released in 2006. It won the best movie award in the category of ‘Portrayal of women in good light.’

In the later years, he entered Kannada industry and delivered some of his most recognized works in the movies: Naayaka (2010), Romeo (2012), Arjuna (2015), Style King (2016), Raaga (2017) and The Terrorist (2018). All these movies are in the Kannada language. His movie Raaga which got released in 2017, received a lot of appreciation. It was a love story of two blind persons.
