Yasra Rizvi is a 33-year-old Pakistani actress and writer. Born on 15 th November 1982, this beauty from Islamabad has been a part of both films and plays but is mainly recognized by her work in various serial dramas aired on television.

She started her career in 2004 as a writer with “Bench”- the first play written by her in Urdu. With most of her family involved in journalism, she received her BBA degree in Human Resource Management from the Western Michigan University and later pursued a Masters’ degree in Mass Communication from England. She received a lot of guidance in terms of developing her writing skills from her family and has always been encouraged by them to work towards her interests and dreams. Her autobiographical play, “Diary”, was one of the turning points of her life. Not only did she write and act in this play, but she gained a proper taste of popularity among the masses in which through the role of “Veera“-, which is still believed to be one of her best performances. Soon, Rizvi was drawn into a soap opera, “Mi Raqsam” by Sahiba Sumar. Aired on Geo TV, her minor role in this serial drama was her debut in the world of television. After that, she bagged roles infamous soap operas such as “Virasat” and “Man KeMoti”.

Her more recent work as a television actress includes “MajaziKhuda” and “Malika-E-Aliya”; both the serials are 2014 productions.
