Ratna Pathak is an Indian actress who has been a part of many Indigenous & International Projects through various forms of acting. She is a popular Theatre artist, film & television actress and co-founder of a theatre group called ‘Motley Theatre group’. She is the daughter of yesteryear’s famous Bollywood actress ‘Dina Pathak’. Her younger sister ‘Supriya Pathak’ is also an actress. She is married to famous actor ‘Naseeruddin Shah’.

Ratna pathak is a multifaceted personality who graduated from the National School of Drama. She has done a lot of theatre and appeared in some art movies as well. She started her career in movies with the movie called ‘Mandi’ (1984). During this period, she was very much active in theatre projects.

She was a part of some famous film projects like ‘Mirch Masala’ (1987) & ‘The Perfect Murder’ (1988). In the recent past, she was seen in the film called ‘Jaane Tu Ya Jaane Na’ (2008), playing the role of the mother of the lead character of the film. She appeared in a very successful commercial movie called ‘Golmaal 3’ (2010), in which she played the role of Geeta. She was also a part of Sonam Kapoor starred ‘Khoobsurat’ (2014).

She has equally been involved in television projects such as ‘Idhar Udhar’ (1988), ‘Tara’ (1993), ‘Filmi Chakkar’ (1995). Most recently she has appeared in Television Programs like ‘Sarabhai vs. Sarabhai’ (2005) & ‘The Late-Night Show Jitna Rangeen Utna Sangeen’ (2012). She won the ‘Best Actress in a Comic Role’ & ITA Award for Best Actress – comedy for ‘Sarabhai vs. Sarabhai’ by Indian Telly Awards & Indian Television Academy Awards respectively.

With so much of experience in her kitty she is definitely among the league of senior most talents in the film industry.
