For her graduation, she flew to United States but eventually dropped out of college. While growing up, Monisha Advani always yearned to start a business. So, it wasn’t surprising when she ventured into the world of business when she was only nineteen. Monisha Advani began her career in 1989 with a student counseling segment called Emmay Consultants.

Her maiden venture did very well, and as a result, she got featured on Savvy Magazine. She also got listed in the Asiaweek, Persons to Watch For. Since then, their business saw bigger growth, and the two strived to do even better at every step. She worked in the HR space till 2009 and decided to quit in 2009. Following this, Monisha Advani and Madhu Bhojwani once again reunited to support the start-ups by funding them. That’s when they started My First Cheque in 2010 and still going strong. Post the retirement from business, Monisha Advani started looking out for doing something different. This time, she took a bold decision of starting a production company along with Madhu Bhojwani and her brother Nikkhil Advani.

In 2011, the trio founded the now most successful production house, Emmay Entertainment and Motion Pictures. With Monisha Advani taking care of the Commercials and Marketing department, their first film D-Day in 2013.
