She grew up in Delhi and was educated at Delhi's prestigious "Summer Fields School".

She did her graduation from the "University of London". She has pursued a 'BBA' degree. She has a younger sister 'Mithali'. After completing her education Mannara shifted to Mumbai and pursued her career in modeling and advertisement. She made thirteen commercials; three of them alongside her cousin Priyanka Chopra, including one for Dabur Amla Hair Oil, which she said won her "instant recognition" and landed her an offer in Telugu films.

She had also appeared in 'Amit Trivedis' song "Bas bajna chahiye", the theme song for Gaana.com. She has worked as a fashion designer and as an assistant choreographer, being trained in dance forms like, 'hip hop and belly dancing'. Her first venture in the Film Industry was in the year 2013. In Telugu industry “Prema Geema Jantha Nai” was her debut.

Her mother was obsessed with naming her after the famous toy doll, which was only a name suggestion from one of her cousins who lived abroad.

Young Mannara was brought up in the city of New Delhi and completed her higher secondary education from Summer Fields School. Later on, she graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration (BBA). She shifted to Mumbai as an assistant choreographer and then went on to kick start her career in acting and modeling. One of her ads for Dabur Hair Oil with her cousin sister Priyanka Chopra had paved the way for her entry into Telugu cinema. Apart from appearing in various ads, Mannara also worked as a choreographer as she was trained in western dance styles such as belly dancing and hip hop.

Mannara made her debut performance using her old name, in a Telugu film titled as ‘Prema Geema Jantha Nai’ which was released in the year 2014. Even though critiques were not entirely happy with her performance while commenting on her inexperience, her cousin sister Priyanka Chopra was very much impressed by Mannara’s performance in Zid. Barbie Chopra or better known as Mannara Chopra was born as Barbie Handa on the 29th of March 1991 at the city of Ambala, Haryana. She is a cousin of the glamorous Bollywood actress Parineeti Chopra and Priyanka Chopra as well as Meera Chopra. She spent most part of her growing age in the capital of India, Delhi. She did her education from a school in New Delhi named Summer Fields School. She received a degree of BBA after completing her graduation.

Barbie is seen appearing as a guest in the movie Sandamarutham. She will be seen in a movie which shall soon occupy the silver screens and the name of the film is Kaaval.
