She has been an actress from a very young age, but her appearance in ‘Vicky Donor’ shot her to fame and gained her love and recognition from all the Bollywood audience all over the world.

She was, later on, offered the part in Shoojit’s film seeing her performance and made her aware of her character’s modern and progressive approach. Kamlesh Gill has been into acting from her childhood and was a regular theater artist from the year 1957.

She got her big break when she was a young girl of 18 into the field of theater. She has also appeared in a line of Punjabi television serials as well as been cast in a variety of theatrical plays since her entry into the acting field. She was cast in ‘Aur Gham Bhi Hain Zamanein Mein’ a television serial which was aired during the 70s.

This television serial had helped her gain popularity and also a line of offers from a variety of filmmakers to be cast in their movies. It was when she was at the tip of her career that her husband had surrendered to death and left her as a widow and the responsibility of raising her two young daughters.

Currently, she is almost 80 years old and has fulfilled all her duties and has married away both her daughters who are now both settled with their families. After her appearance in the 2012 release ‘Vicky Donor’, she has yet again shot back to fame.
