Sushant Singh Rajput is one of the famous Indian television and film actors. He was born on 21st January, 1986 in Patna. His father use to work in a government office. In early 2000s, his family moved to Delhi. Rajput is the younger brother to his four sisters. He has completed his schooling from St. Karen's High School located in Patna and Kulachi Hansraj Model School located in New Delhi. After that, he joined in DCE (Delhi College of Engineering), but after 3 years he has decided to drop out for his acting career.

He has chosen to perform in 2006 Commonwealth Games and the background dancer group at the 51st Film fare Awards. After shifting to Mumbai also he started to involve in theater plays and also became a member of Nadira Babbar's Ekjute theater group.

He began his career as a backup dancer and based on his performance, Balaji Films given him a TV role. His acting career consists of several Television serials, Films etc., He acted in TV serials like Kis Desh Mein Hai Mere Dil, Pavitra Rishta, Zara Nachke Dikha and Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa 4. He also acted in films like Kai PO Che, Shuddh Desi Romance, etc., He got several awards like Indian Telly Awards, Zee Gold Awards, Star Build Awards and IIFA Awards and many more.

He is going to play a confirmed role in the next upcoming venture named "P.K." and a film called "Detective Byomkesh Bakshi" and going to be acting as a star role in film "Pani". He is one of the young and inspiring actors in India.

He made a guest appearance in Welcome To New York that released in 2018. In the same year, he shared the screen space with Sara Ali Khan in “Kedarnath.” It is the debut film for Sara.

In 2019, he had three releases, including “Sonchiriya” with Bhumi Pednekar and Manoj Bajpayee, “Chhichhore” with Shraddha Kapoor and a web series, “Drive” with Jacqueline Fernandez. Sushant Singh Rajput’s final film is Dil Bechara, directed by Mukesh Chhabra.

Sushant Singh Rajput was found hanging at his Mumbai home on 14th June 2020. There was no suicide note found. It was reported that he had been in depression for the past 6 months. He was just 34 when he died.
