Satyakam Anand gained recognition for his role as ‘ JP Singh J.P. Singh is an Indian-origin theatre director an >> Read More... ’ in the movie ‘Gangs of Wasseypur’ who was the son of Randhir Singh. He has also acted in the movies ‘The mayatape’ , ‘Dvandva’ , ‘Let’s fly with my paper rocket ‘ .

Satyakamanand is from Arrah , Bihar . His family was very much into education however Satyakamanand was not very strong in his studies . At the age of 15 , in order to get admission for him in one of Patna’s top colleges(Science college) , they tried to gain admission through the drama quota .

He didn’t get in the college but his road to becoming an actor began from that moment on. At the age of 19, he started theatre and took part in almost all major drama/theatre competitions that were conducted all over North India.

In the year 1996 he dropped his studies to pursue acting as a career and went to Delhi with Arvind Gaur Arvind Gaur is an Indian theatre director who is k >> Read More... in 1997. In Delhi he did theatre up till 2001. While taking part in a drama ‘ Samaryatra’ he travelled all over India. When in Goa, he found his soulmate and they have been married for the last 15 years.

He found the distance between Delhi and Goa very difficult to travel and so moved to Mumbai and got married there. At a certain point in Satyakamanand’slife , his acting career went through a very low phase which lead to financial problems and he became alcoholic . Satyakamanand’s wife was Anurag kayshap’s secretary. Satyakamanand said that he had never wanted to act in movies . He had just wanted to learn acting and perform on any platform available.

Satyakamanand has set up an organization that is trying to revive Bhojpuri cinema through legal routes. His initiative ,AshliltaMukht Bhojpuri Association (AMBA) was set up in the year 2015 in the Arrah district. Due to obscene songs and videos in the film , Bihar also gets tagged as a bad state according to Satyakamanand.
