Rahul Handa is a skilled story and screenplay writer, actor and director. He is a notable Bollywood celebrity and is best known for writing the film starring the Indian Olympic medal-winning boxer who recently turned pro, Vijender Singh. He was born abroad and lived most of his life abroad. During his childhood, he switched schools many times and has done his schooling from Learners’ Academy, Mumbai and United World College, Singapore and then from American School, Dhaka.

He started performing at the theater and directing plays to hone his acting skills while in school. He did his graduation in Film from Emerson College, Boston, to pursue his dreams. He started his career in acting with the film, Marega Salaa (2009). In this movie, he shared the screen with Kim Sharma and Jimmy Shergill. This movie centres around the character of a famous musician, Anirudh, and his murder.

Rahul played the role of Anirudh in this movie who manages a music company and although this film wasn’t a major hit among the audience, Rahul didn’t give up. He also worked as an Assistant director of movies such as Gollu Aur Pappu and Hasmukh Pighal Gaya. He first garnered attention when he was working as an Associate Director of Fugly.

He started penning down the script of Fugly when he was studying Film at Emerson. According to him, this film was about youth and for youth. This film essays the story of four friends who are unsure about their career and how their life turned upside down when they decided to fight against a police officer. This is by far the best work of Rahul Handa.

He gives full credit to Kabir Sadanand and his parents for this accomplishment. When asked about his future plans, he very passionately says that he would love to become a director some day. Currently, he is working on a new script. Despite many difficulties, he stands as a bold person who has the power to stand for what he admires and maybe that’s the secret behind his success.
