Prashant Tapaswi

Prashant Tapaswi is an established Marathi actor who has worked in over 10 Marathi films. He is a film actor, comedian, television actor and theatre artist who is well known for his work in Marathi cinema. Prashant Tapaswi was born on 23rd July in Pune in the state of Maharashtra, India. After graduating from Modern College of Arts, Science and Commerce in the year 1990, Prashant began pursuing acting from Ranbhumi acting classes in Pune, Maharashtra. Before venturing into cinema, Prashant took part in Theater production. Prashant Tapaswi got married to Prajakta Tapaswi on 5th May 2005, and the couple has a son.

In 2006, Prashant Tapaswi made his debut into the entertainment industry with the Marathi comedy film Bagh Haat Dakhaun in an uncredited role. The actor’s next release, Aaila Re!!, was in the same year. He got his first credited role in the 2008 Marathi comedy film Valu, where he played the role Shankrya. The film went on to become one of the successful Marathi films in history and lined up for several film festivals, including Rotterdam International Film Festival in the Netherlands. Prashant then appeared in the 2010 film Aaya Sawant Jhoom Ke in Marathi as a Bank Clerk. The year 2011 saw the release of the Marathi movie Superstar, where he played an important part. His 2012 releases include the critically acclaimed Marathi movie Chintoo and Aiyyaa. Prashant portrayed the character of Guruji in the film Chintoo, which revolves around the eight-year boy of the same name. Prashant made his Bollywood debut as a college peon with the Prithviraj - Rani Mukherji starrer Aiyyaa. The following year, Prashant appeared in the movies Ek Hazarachi Note and Love Factor.

In 2015, the actor had a single release Siddhant, a story about moral courage and emotional turmoil.
