Hindi Movie Actor Chandrachur Singh

Chandrachur Singh had a very promising start to his film career, with Gulzaar’s “ Maachis Story coming soon >> Read More... ” being a landmark film, drawing wide appreciation all round, and even fetching him the Filmfare Best Debut Award in 1996. That this was only his second film after “ Tere Mere Sapne Tere Mere Sapne is a TV series that ran from 2009 >> Read More... ” only promised better things to come for him in the future. Looking back, Chandrachur had an impeccable background – his mother being from the erstwhile princely family of Bolangir in Odisha, while his father was an accomplished politician from Aligarh. To add to this he seemed to have a pretty decent academic background, having completed his initial education from the prestigious Doon School, and followed it up with a stint at St Stephens, Delhi. All this really did not foretell any propensities towards acting. In fact, if at all he displayed any cultural traits, it was more towards music – becoming a music teacher for the students of Doon School. He did have, however, a common trait with one of the leading actors of our times. He shared his birthday (11th October) with none other than Amitabh Bachchan Amitabh Bachchan was born on October 11, 1942 in A >> Read More... . But more than this coincidence, it was the fact that his first film role in the 1996 movie “Tere Mere Sapne” came under the banner of Amitabh Bachchan Corporation Limited that was more significant, as it gave him the opportunity to attract director Gulzar’s attention and was pitch forked into “Maachis” that really got him most of his name and fame. Following the success of “Maachis” he received several opportunities to appear in other films like the 1997 “Betaabi” co-starring Arshad Warsi Arshad Warsi is most popular for his role as Circu >> Read More... and the 1999 Ajay Devgan Ajay Devgn is an Indian film actor. His subsequent films like the multi starrer “Daag” and the subsequent “ Kya Kehna Click to look into! >> Read More... ” fared better at the box office, but the promise that “Maachis” had shown was sadly missing in his later films, including the Sharukh Khan and Aishwarya Rai starrer “ Josh Click to look into! >> Read More... ” which was released 4 years from his debut. After this he had to break from films due to an unfortunate water skiing mishap suffered in Goa, and he could think of trying to revive his career only again in 2012. Although he did appear in a few big budget films in this phase of his career, like “ Zila Ghaziabad Click to look into! >> Read More... ”, he could not get back the old magic and by the end of 2013 was still hoping to stage a real comeback instead of just casual appearances to stay afloat.
