Anil Nagrath is an Indian Actor and Producer. He mostly works in the Hindi Film Industry. He has also done a couple of films in the Tamil Film Industry aka Tollywood. Anil has worked in over 50 Bollywood flicks. One of his recent successes was “Chashme Badoor”. In the initial days of his career, Anil has worked on the sets of numerous films as an Assistant Director, which taught him the crux of the show business. Being from a non-filmy background, it was a difficult start for him to enter the industry and leave his mark. His son, Ajay Nagrath, is also an actor and is currently working in Indian Television. He is greatly known for his performance in CID. Anil Nagrath is popularly known for about half a decade by his position in the IMPPA. He is the secretary of the Indian Motion Picture Producers’ Association.

Anil started working with numerous B-grade Hindi movies in the late 1980s. “Tarazu”, “Gadda”r, “Hafta Vasuli” and “Insaaf” were some of his initial attempts in the Hindi Cinema. Apart from his amazing performances on the big screen in movies like “Baadshah” (1999), “Sabse Bada Khiladi” (1995) and “Karan Arjun” (1995), he is also known for his uncensored comments and unabashed opinions.
He has openly criticized the Film Technician Union of West Bengal, opposing their way of work and sharing the producers’ plight to shoot there. Anil Nagrath entered into a controversy during the 2016 surgical strikes, when a part of the Indian Film Industry decided not to work with any Pakistani Actors, inducing an unofficial ban, which had a cent percent support from the Central Government. Anil played a vital role in resolving the inner disputes of producers who had incomplete movies to finish off. He entered into another controversial situation, which ended up in a court case when a couple of popular publishing house spread the news of him being sacked from IMPPA. Being put off by the false news, Anil threatened to sue the magazines.
