Amlan Das is a young talented actor of Oriya film industry. He was born on 9, March 1992 in Cuttack, Orissa. He is prominently known for his work in Orissa language films. He completed his School education at DAV school in Cuttack. He completed his graduation in 2013 from Sivaji Ganeshan Film Institute of SRM University which is situated in Chennai. Being a son of famous actor Mihir Das getting into the acting profession was not really tough task for him. Since his childhood, he had seen his father working in this industry so it wasn't difficult for him to adapt in it. He made his debut in Oriya film industry with the movie Target.

It was an action movie directed by S K Muralidharan which released in 2013. Although the movie didn't perform well at the box office, his performance was notable and appreciated. Later in the same year, he got another opportunity in the movie Mo Dehara Chhai which was directed by Himanshu Parija.

This movie was a big hit at the box office. Amlan Das performance in this movie was well appraised. This movie helped him to make his mark in Oriya film industry. This movie proved to be a first big hit of his career.
