Raj Shekhar

Raj Shekar is a famous Indian Lyricist who works in the Bollywood industry. He wrote the lyrics for the Bollywood film Tanu weds Manu and its sequel Tanu weds Manu Returns, directed by Anand L Rai. Raj has also written numerous children’s stories. He was born on 22 September 1980 in a small village, Medhapura, Bihar. At first, he wanted to become a film director, and his parents supported his decision. He has completed his graduation in Hindi Literature from Kirori Mal College, Delhi University, while also completing his master’s from Delhi University. Raj has been active in the theatre as an actor, playwright and also director. He has written several popular children’s stories, like Roo Roo Raat, Five Little Monkeys, Being Wise etc.

Shekar has also played a cameo role in Bollywood films like Anwar and Ghanchakkar. He is keen on expanding his career furthermore.
