Sudha Kongara Prasad is a director of the Indian Film Industry, and writer who is well-renowned for her works in Tamil, Telegu and now recently in Bollywood Cinema. She worked with him as an associate director in the blockbuster hit Guru as well. Sudha has not however restricted herself to the realm of direction only; she has also ventured into screenwriting. Her first venture into writing was with the film, Mitr, My Friend, which won the Best English Movie Award at the 49th National Film Awards.

Sudha received praise for her direction of the 2010 Tamil action-drama, Drohi. The film released to mostly positive reviews and was given 6 out of 10 in IMDb ratings. Before Drohi, Sudha had also directed a Telegu comedy Andhra Andagadu. During the production of Drohi in 2010, Sudha also started writing the script for a boxing movie after reading about North Chennai’s boxing culture. R. Madhavan in an interview commented that “the amount of research and interviews she (Sudha) had done and the visuals she had included in the presentation to substantiate the story was astounding. That I didn’t expect from a female director or any director for that matter. There was no way I was going to let something like this go”
