Hardik Mehta is a screenwriter and director in the Indian film industry. His excellence in the industry is reflected through his work like the queen (2014) and the lootere (2013). Hardik Mehta in, 2008, graduated from AJK Mass Communication Research Centre Jamia Millia Islamic, with a degree of M.A. in mass communication. And for further training and experience, he worked with well- known figures like Dev Benegal, Vikramaditya Motwane and, Vikas Bahl. Then for starting his career, first directed a twenty minutes short film, Skip Deep, which was based on a story by Vikramaditya Motwane.
The film represented the psychological ailment of a young man and was one of the short films in movie char cutting 2015. In 2015, his Gujarati language documentary Amdavad Ma Famous awarded golden lotus (Swarn Kamal) 63rd national film awards for the best in nonfeature film. Later, in 2017, he had co-written the screenplay in Vikramaditya's most recent survival thriller, trapped in 2017. Mehta had occupied a really huge opportunity in 2013, of being a part of Sachin Tendulkar’s documentary film and was able to cover the last fifteen days of cricket legend on the field.
The footage was a part of the documentary A Billion Dreams. Such a creative mind that grabbed this opportunity and worked really hard so that his efforts don't get wasted. Moreover, apart from Film Industry he directed the advertisements and the musical videos. His documentary, Amdavad Ma Famous, won many prestigious awards across the world. Some of those awards were best short film documentary award at Budapest International Documentary Film Festival 2015, Jury Prize for best short documentary at Aljazeera International Documentary festival 2015, at Qatar, July 2017, the Golden Conch for the best documentary and best editor at National Competition in Mumbai, 14th International Film Festival in 2016.
The short film was selected in competition at the Hot Docs Canadian International Documentary Festival, 2016, and the Indian Panorama at the International Film Festival India (IFFI), Goa. The documentary was selected by the French Academy Of Cinema for Panorama De Nuits en and there he represented India along with thirty best countries. But when we talk about his personal life, we only know that he is married to writer- producer Akansha Tewari. Hardik Mehta is a gift for the Indian cinema. His work makes the world feel proud in the field of cinema. His hard work will take Indian cinema to great heights.
