‘Ankush Mohla’, is a Director & Assistant Director. He is known for directing some well known films and TV shows. He married Indian TV Actress ‘’ on 8th December, 2000 and has two daughters. He rose to fame when he was seen in “Nach Baliye- Season 5” in 2005 with his wife ‘Smita Bansal’. About Nach Baliye, he says he never thought that he could dance. He is thankful to ‘Star Plus’ for giving him the opportunity. He is the Director of “Hats off Productions” and he was the Assistant Director for famous Bollywood movies, ‘Jo Jeeta Wahi Sikandar’ and ‘’. He directed ‘Jaane Hoga Kya’, a Bollywood Sci-Fi Thriller, in 2006 jointly with Glen Barretto. Ankush Mohla made his acting debut in the Bollywood film Ghulam. ‘Ankush’ and ‘Glen Baretto’ have directed “”, a supernatural drama aired on Sony. has joined these two in directing Anamika, also aired on Sony. He directed ‘’ in 2012 and with , he has directed ‘’. Currently, he is directing Ashutosh Gowariker’s promising TV show Everest (2014). About directing this show, he says that it is like a dream come true. His experience has been totally fascinating, very challenging and something which he has never done before or will do because it is something which is done once in life. So, when he came across this project there was no second thought about it. And the music is by ‘A.R. Rahman’. To go to a place like Everest and work in minus five degrees temperature, one has to be physically fit. As a director, he needs to portray the story in a proper manner in limited time and work efficiently with the team by creating a proper atmosphere to work for veteran actors as well as new comers. He has done a lot of films, theatre and television and so was searching to do something different and new. Directing Everest does not come in his domain. He believes that even Hollywood would not have tried such a challenging project. If dancing in Nach Baliye was challenging, directing Everest is more challenging for him. His relationship with Ashutosh Gowarikar is good having worked together earlier. Ankush feels that working with him is totally enriching because he gets to learn a lot.
