Originally from Nainital to Uttrakhand, Kamaljeet started his career out as a reporter/researcher before venturing into documentaries.

After these, he studied camera work/cinematography from the US, Poland,and the UK. Kamaljeet did a 1-yearcoursein film educational Steadicam -Rockport Maino(US).

He also did a 1year course in cinematography at Polish Film School. He got acquainted under Brian Tufano (BSC)and Billy Williams (BSC) in National Film &TV school of Art, UK.

He also made feature films. He made a noticeable debut as cinematographer Film named as, My Brother, My Enemy. He got many awards, including Asia Pacific Advertising Festival, ABY Filmfare Awards – Best Cinematography – Madras Cafe(2013), Movie Awards – Best Cinematography – Madras Cafe (2013). He won Acclaim for four continents.
