Bruce L. Cohen is a television, film, and theatre producer. Cohen was born in a Jewish house and built in Falls Church, Virginia. In the year 1983, he graded from Yale University with a degree of Bachelor of Arts in Cinema Studies. Cohen gained the Best Film Oscar for creating American Beauty. He received additional Best Picture submissions for Milk and Silver Linings Playbook. American Beauty, conducted by Sam Mendes, acquired a total of five Oscars, British Academy of Film and Television, Golden Globe, and Producers Guild of America honours. Milk, led by Gus Van Sant, was chosen for eight Academy Awards and got Oscars for Best Actor and Best Elementary Screenplay, as well as the Stanley Kramer Honor. Silver Linings Playbook, penned and directed by David O. Russell, was called for eight Oscars. It was the first movie in 31 years to be drafted in all four acting levels, and Jennifer Lawrence acquired the Oscar in the Best Actress section.

Among the other movies, Cohen has created Big Fish, guided by Tim Burton. This movie won both a BAFTA nominee for Best Picture and Golden Globe. He is currently a lead elder of the stage musical story of Big Fish, now at the Neil Simon Broadway, with management and choreography by five-time Tony champion Susan Stroman. In television, Cohen was managing producer of the ABC set Pushing Daisies, which acquired a total of seven Emmys and was chosen for a Golden Globe for Best Drama. He was also an executive producer of the CBS exclusive Movies Rock and was decided for an Emmy in the year 2011 for presenting the 83rd Annual Academy Honors.

Cohen is on the Board of Committee of the Generator Guild, having served two times as vice director of action pictures, and is on the Executive Plank of the Producer's Branch of the Society of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences. He is Director of the Board of manager of the American Foundation for the Equal Rights, the organisation behind the recently successful Supreme Court case to have California's Project 8 declared undemocratic. He is wedded to Gabe, and they have a two-year-old child.
