Michaela Ewuraba Boakye-Collinson professionally known as Michaela Coel is a British actress, screenwriter, poet, singer, songwriter, and playwright. Michaela was born on the 1st of October 1987 in London, England. Her parents were from Ghana. Her parents split before she was born. She grew up with her mother and older sister in London. She went to Catholic Schools in London. She got bullied by the students as she was the only black child.
So, she continued her studies at a non-comprehensive school. She went to Birmingham University and studied English Literature and Theology. She also went to Guildhall School of Music and Drama. She appeared in movies “Monsters: Dark Continent” (2014), “Star-wars: The last Jedi” (2017) and “Been So Long” (2018). She appeared in the shows like “Top Boy” (2013), “London Spy” (2015), “The Aliens” (2016) and a few more.
