Leah Marie Pipes- Trauth was born on August 12, 1988, in Los Angeles, California. Leah’s parents are Keith Pipes and Kristy Pipes, and she is their only child. Her family has roots in German, English, and Irish ancestry. Thayne Robbins Pipes was her paternal grandfather, while her maternal grandparents were John David Mutschler and Barbara Louise Mackey.

In her early youth, Pipes wanted to be a writer but she chose the acting field instead. The actress debuted as an actor with the supernatural show Angel in an uncredited role. Later she bagged the series Lost at Home, where she featured regularly. She starred in the television movie Pixel Perfect in the lead role as Samantha Jacobs.

Later she made appearances in the television series Drake & Josh and Malcolm in the Middle. The actress also had a recurring role in the TV series Clubhouse, where she featured as Jessie. However, in 2006, she starred in the movie Fingerprints in the lead role, where she portrayed Melanie. Fingerprints is a supernatural slasher film helmed by Harre Basil. The flick bagged the title Best Feature at the New York City Horror Film Festival.

Pipes was a part of other television movies like Odd Girl Out and Fertile Ground. She also appeared in the television series Bones, Shark, and Crossing Jordan.
