Jena Malone

Jena Malone, born on November 21st, 1984, in Nevada, to Deborah and Eddie, is a famous musician and actress. She was brought up by her mother and her mother’s friend, whom she at that time called Godmom. She led a very impoverished life when she was young. She said that she used to live in apartments, get kicked out in a few days, and even had the experience of sleeping in cars and on streets. This kind of life motivated her to work hard and have a successful career. At the age of 19, she purchased a home in Nevada with her hard work, and resided there.

Jena started her career in acting after watching her mother actively take part in drama and theater acts. While living in Los Angeles, the family struggled a lot due to their financial crisis, and Jean had to leave school after eighth standard and study at home itself. Her acting career started with the movie, Bustard Out of Carolina, which released in 1996, and because of her outstanding performance in the film, she was nominated and also received several awards such as Best Debut Performance and Best Actor. Her role in the TV series, ‘Hope’, earned her a Golden Globe Award in the category of Best Actor. Her first lead role was in the movie, Donnie Darko, which released in 2001. Jena supports the education of girls and organizes exhibitions in an art gallery owned by her friend, every year, to raise funds for the education of poor girls. Her first music label was The Social Registry, in which she released her first single. She then released a large number of tracks. Jena’s stage performance can be seen in ‘Doubt’, and Mourning Becomes Electra, in 2006 and 2009, respectively.
