The show revolves around the life of its protagonist, Aima. Aima is a self- reliant, ambitious young girl and the only breadwinner in her family. She lives with her sister and mother and her father left their family for another woman. But she doesn’t let the abandonment trauma get over her head and tries to be supportive towards her family both mentally and financially. She has massive dreams and aspirations, and gives her whole self to achieve them.  She wants to pursue law as a profession, but we all know that failures and uncertainty are uninvited guests to any profession.

Even after getting rejected for jobs, firstly for inexperience and secondly for her gender, Aima doesn’t give up. And the most intriguing part of her character is that even though she’s bold and beautiful, she does not hesitate to show her vulnerability.  Meanwhile, she’s in love with her cousin Zain, and he loves her as well. But Zain is a musician and doesn’t want to settle down doing some corporate job according to societal norms. It’s beautiful to see how two characters can be so different but love each other the same. So, in the show, we see Aima’s familial, professional, and romantic life, and how she deals with all of them. 

Zain’s attitude distresses Aima and she rejects the marriage proposal, stating that marriage is not her priority as she has to work harder. But while her romantic life goes into an abyss, her professional life takes a step up. By the end, she gets a job as a junior lawyer in a respectable firm and so her hard work pays off.  Thus, the title “Yun Tu Pyaar Hai Bohut”- makes total sense, signifying that there is extreme love and passion between the central characters, but Aima’s love can never be more important to her than her career. And we get an unrequited mesmerizing love story. With this unique story and such a marvelous representation of an empowering young woman, this show became inspirational and much loved by the audience.
