It was released on 3^rd April and continued up until 11^th August 2017 consisting of a total of 92 episodes, each with a running period of 17 minutes. The story revolves around a man named Ahmer and a woman named Roshni. Ahmer is portrayed as a good, honest, and kind-hearted business man while Roshni is portrayed as a young and beautiful woman who is a graduate and belongs to a middle-class family.

Both Ahmer and Roshni are deeply in love with each other and hope to marry each other someday. Ahmer’s mother named Nadra is shown to be the landlady of her house while his father Fayyaz is depicted as a mentally depressed person who always keeps to his studies and is often haunted by the past. Ahmer also has other siblings who are named Ashar and Mehwish. Roshni, on the other hand, lives with her father, her brother named Aneeq and his wife named Samira. Samira is shown to be an ill-tempered woman who is selfish and an extrovert who loves to gossip and party.

Roshni’s mother had died after giving birth to her and hence Roshni makes it her duty to take care of her father. When Ahmer talks to his mother about his affair with Roshni and proclaims that he wishes to marry her, she immediately refuses but after consulting a Muslim Scholar she always seeks and looks up to, she changes her mind and agrees to the marriage giving her blessing. Ashar starts to develop feelings for Roshni not knowing that she was Ahmer’s fiancé and soon leaves to study abroad. Roshni and Ahmer gradually get married. However, the day the marriage takes place and Roshni enters the house Nadra’s maternal aunt dies and therefore Nadra takes it as an ill sign and calls Roshni a bad omen.

Ahmer and Roshni both keep their mouth shut considering the fact that Nadra might have been sad or unhappy about the death and might have been grief-stricken to call her such. After a few weeks both Aneeq and Samira decide to visit Roshni and when they do so Samira concocts lies about Roshni and tells them to Nadra. The bad blood between Nadra and Roshni increases. Ashar soon returns from abroad only to find Roshni in their house, already married to his brother Ahmer. He is shocked by this revelation but respects her nevertheless.

Roshni overhears a conversation between Nadra and her friend where Nadra says that Roshni was having an affair with Ashar and this deeply hurts her feelings. Roshni locks herself in her room and cries her heart out overwhelmed with rage and sadness. When Ahmer asks her the reason for her being so upset she turns him down and tells him to get out of her room. However, unfortunately, Ahmer has an accident a short while later where he loses his life and Roshni is overcome with guilt and sadness.

Ashar gets married to a woman named Mahreen who is portrayed as a selfish woman with no moral values whatsoever and this creates chaos in the house. The woman makes everyone's life a living hell, especially Roshni’s insulting her for being the black cat of the family. When Mehwish wants to marry a man named Addan and doesn’t get the blessing to do so she takes matters into her own hands and decides to escape the house. She grabs Mahreen’s stuff and Ashar’s credit card leaving a piece of jewellery in Roshni’s room. However, when Roshni finds out she decides to tell Nadra the truth and does so.

Nadra doesn’t believe Roshni and later Mehwish pushes Roshni and injures her in the process. Ashar’s father dies soon after the whole incident. Nadra later realizes her mistakes when Mahreen pushes her down the stairs. Mehwish finally escapes the house and marries Addan via a simple court marriage and Mahreen gets divorced when Nadra orders Ashar to do so. She later arranges for Ashar and Roshni to get married and lead a happy life together.
