Roshan Sitara is a Pakistani romantic drama serial telecasted on Hum Tv. It was co-produced by Abdullah Kadwani and Asad Qureshi's production house, 7th Sky Entertainment, and Humayun Saeed. The show was written by Sarwat Nazir. The drama was also aired on India Zindagi Tv in India by the name of Mausam. Roshan Sitara is a sweet, emotional, romantic drama that narrates the love story of two generations. Roshan Ara (Sanam Baloch) and Mansoor, cousins, make up the first generation, while Momin and Sitara make up the second. Roshan Ara marries businessman Hakim Ali due to the pressure from her mother (Samina Peerzada). Mansoor dies from a broken heart after Roshan leaves him. He has an 8-year-old younger brother Momina, who was also very close to Roshan and now falls into depression.
To mend his mental health, his mother sent him to the United States for higher studies. Meanwhile, Hakim Ali marries another woman and mistreats Roshan. After giving birth to Sitara, Roshan dies. Sitara is ill-treated by her stepmother, so she moves to her maternal grandmother’s house. Her aunt Iffat pours her with affection and care. After 20 years, Momina returns to his native place. He crosses paths with Sitara and falls head-over-heels in love with her. But his parents are planning to get him married to Iffat. At the 12th Lux Style Awards, the drama received the nomination of Best Original Soundtrack to Bilal Khan and Qurat-ul-Ain Balouch. Samina Peerzada received the best supporting actress award at the Hum Awards for her role in Roshan Sitara.
