Kalmoohi is an Urdu television serial that airs on the Pakistani channel of GEO TV. It was released on the 21st of November, 2013, and was directed and written by Sayn Atif Hussain and Ibn e Aas Muhammud respectively. The story follows a young orphaned girl named Husna. The name means “beauty,” but she is constantly bullied for her complexion in her home. She lives with her stepmother and stepsiblings and they all treat her like a servant and insult her at their convenience. Her grandmother is the only one who supports and sympathizes with her.
