Talk of the Town was a Telugu language TV show that aired on the channel Gemini TV every Sunday at 12:30 pm for half an hour. The show ran for a decade from 1997 to 2007. It was hosted by Jhansi, who is a Telugu anchor, actor, theatre director, and play writer. It could be said that this show has given her great exposure and is no less than a stepping stone for her success in the Telugu Cinema and Television industry. Talk of the Town was a movie review show. All Telugu movies get released in the theatres on Fridays. It has been a tradition since the Telugu Film Industry has started, and we cannot see that changing for a long time. Talk of the Town gave reviews for the movies that have been released that week.

Each movie that has been released in that week is given a time slot and is spoken about, both with respect and in a little satirical manner adding comedy to the show. Anchor Jhansi appeared on the show in different costumes, pretending to be a different person in each episode. The peculiarity of the different characters she has portrayed is that she added a different personality to each character. She added variations to each character in different episodes.

The credibility she has given to each role made the viewers enjoy her speak for a decade. The viewers remained glued to their TVs to see whether their favourite hero was titled the hero of the week or their favourite heroine was titled the heroine of the week, and so on.
