Nee Kongu Bangaram Ganu is a game show in the Telugu language that was aired on the channel, Maa TV. Maa TV is a general entertainment channel in the Telugu language that has been entertaining the Telugu audience for more than a decade now. The show, Nee Kongu Bangaram Ganu was launched in the year 2012. The show was aired once a week, on Tuesdays. The show had run for almost a year and had telecasted more than 40 episodes. Each episode of the show lasted for half an hour. Nee Kongu Bangaram Ganu is a very interesting and unique kind of a game show.

The show is all about winning gold. Each episode has four contestants. These contestants go through four rounds to win the episode. The first round is a skills round where the contestants are given two minutes time in which they have to fold as many sarees as possible. The contestant who gets the highest number gets some gold coins and also a new and beautiful saree as a gift. The first round is called Cheera Kattu Thippi Pettu. The second round is named Prasna Maadi Gift Meedi. In this round, an audio-visual clip is shown, and then questions are asked related to it.

These questions are not straight questions. They are twisted and riddle type questions. These questions are open to all contestants, and the contestant with the maximum correct answers wins a great prize like a television set, or an I-pad, or a laptop, etc., as a gift. In the third round which is called Masti Me Sawal round, the contestants have to put up an impromptu short skit to impress the host. The host gives the best performers 1 lakh rupees cash gift. The last round is called 100% Gold round. This round has no particular format.

The round can relate to anything like checking compatibility between couple contestants, or number based riddles or tasks; anything as per the liking of the host. The contestants who win this round get a gold coin of 10 grams. All the contestants finally get a saree as a goodie for participating on the show. The show starts and ends with dance performances by the contestants. The entire show is fun to watch because of all the various fun elements included in the show and especially because of the comedy timing and quirky nature of the anchor of the show. The show is anchored by popular South India actress, Radhika Sarath Kumar. The show also celebrates various occasions like Janmashtami, International Women’s Day, Dussehra, etc.
