Paasam is a Telugu language daily television series aired on Gemini T.V. Channel. It is the dubbed version of the serial Paasam, which telecasted in Sun T.V. "Paasam" serial contains only one season and 140 episodes. This serial is telecasted every week Monday to Friday at 1.00 am.
R. K. M. Saravanan directed the serial and it is produced by M. S. Guhan. S. Chekkilar carried out the story, screenplay, and dialogues. Assistant directors are Kasturi P. Karthik and K. Gandhi Raj.
"Paasam" is about father and daughter affection. It revolves around the main character Janaki, and her love towards her father. Janaki shows so much affection towards her father because he sacrificed many things for her. However, in India, it is a tradition that everyone girl after marriage should go to her in-law's house. Janaki is complete against this tradition because how can she leave her father alone. So she decided that she had to marry someone who accepts the condition to keep her father with her after marriage.
Meanwhile, Sri Ram enters the story. Janaki's father searches for matches for his daughter, but no one comes forward because of the condition. Sri Ram wants to marry Janaki. Sri Ram's mother is a money minded lady and wants jewel and dowry. Janaki's father accepts that without Janaki's knowledge. The story is about how they cross all.
