Mahakali is a Mythology drama aired on Gemini TV. This is a story about the wife of God Siva, Goddess Parvati who is also known as Maa Kali, a goddess filled with anger. It is a dubbed tv show that originally aired on Colors TV by the same name after its success, they decided to dub it in Tamil and Telugu.

The show is based on the Indian Mythology Gods. Later Shiva wants to get married to her; she promises him that she will take birth as human and shall get married to her. She is born as Sati and gets married to Shiva. Sati's father hosts a feast and does not invite Sati and Shiva because he does not like Shiva. Sati decides to confront her father and decides to kill herself to protest her husband's disrespect.

Later she is born as Parvati and wants to get married to Shiva again but Shiva does not want to get married to another woman after the demise of Sati. with her devotion and strong will power, she gets married to Shiva. A demon Shumbha hears that Parvati is so beautiful and wants to get married to her. He with the help of his brother Nisumbha starts a war against Shiva and Parvati. Parvati takes her rage face as Mahakali. In war, she kills Shumbha and Nishumbha and also other demons in order to restore peace.

Later, Ganesh and Kartikeya expanded their family. In an event, Shiva killed Ganesha and Parvati was furious. To get rid of her anger Shiva manages to find the Head of an Elephant to replace Ganesha's head and he is reborn. Ganesha and Kartikeya get into a fight and Kartikeya leaves Kailash because he does not want to live at a place where he is not respected. Later he realizes his mistake and is back to live with them again. Various Demons named Mahishashur, Tarakasura, Chanda Munda, Raktbija want to fight with Parvati and Shiva to gain all the power and overthrow them from Himalaya. She manages to kill every demon and restore humans' faith in God again. Later various demons start fights with Maa Parvati and Shiva; they kill these demons and manage to live peacefully.
