Her father, Ajay, requests her ex-wife Anupama to look after Kalyani. Anupama is a calm and kind-hearted woman who treats Kalyani sincerely.
However, Kalyani does not want to recognize herself as her mother and stays indifferent to her. On the other hand, Sampadha, Kalyani’s cousin, loves someone else but is forced to marry Showrya. Later, she delivers a baby and elopes with her boyfriend. Showrya marries Kalyani and troubles her as he thinks she is behind Sampadha’s elopement. This series is about forging a maternal bond beyond blood relations between Kalyani-Anupama, and Kalyani-Sampadha’s baby. So, will Kalyani accept Anupama as her mother? What will happen between Showrya and Kalyani next? Will Ajay ever be acquitted of murdering his wife, Madhuri? The later episodes of the series offer answers to all these questions.
