’. ‘Eetharam Katha' which has a total of 100 episodes, revolves around a woman named Snigdha who lives in Hyderabad with her husband Pavan. Their marriage is looked down upon by her mother-in-law and this leads to certain problems.
Soon after a distinguished set of events, Snigdha comes upon a very old, historical monument and discovers a cult that follows an ancient power named Karakinkara. However, the monument is only visible to her and when she tries to talk about it, people consider her to be delusional. After her discovery, she is constantly haunted by the visions of the cult, monument, and Karakinkara which leads her to spiral down a path of depression and anxiety. Meanwhile, a woman named Mastanamma is hired by her mother-in-law for the household chores but unbeknownst to everyone she practices witchcraft and tries to kill Snigdha. However, she manages to recognize her mistakes later and decides to befriend Snigdha. When Karakinkara comes after Snigdha’s child, Mastanamma manages to save her. After the birth of her child, Snigdha dies in a fire accident and Mastanamma mysteriously disappears leaving a devastated Pavan behind to raise the child named Anirudhh.
How Anirudhh grows up and connects all the events remembering his past life and how horrific secrets are let out along with the story of why Karakinkara and the cult were after Snigdha unfolds and how Anirudhh manages to vanquish the evil constitutes the rest of the episodes.
