Postman is an Indian web series in Tamil. The show falls under the category of Comedy and drama. The show follows a postman who has a daughter. The only person he loves more than his daughter is the Tamil superstar Rajnikanth. He adores his movies and always watches them in theatres. He even names his daughter Rajni. One day he skips delivering eight letters and goes to see the new Rajnikanth film. While coming back his cycle gets hit and he goes into a coma. He wakes up after twenty-three years and now his daughter is all grown up. He is disturbed by the thought that he didn’t do his job right and so he sets out to deliver those eight letters to their respective destination. He is joined by his daughter in this mission and together they set out to deliver the eight letters. It is through those eight letters that, both the father and the daughter learn a lot about life and what struggles other people have gone through in their life. All the recipients have some story to tell regarding the letter which serves the theme of the show. The show is a comedy and thus there a lot of funny instances in the story that provides the series with a light touch that prevents the show from getting melodramatic.
