Tamil Tv Show Zee Play School

Zee Play School is a Tamil language TV show that aired on the channel Zee Tamil. The show premiered on the channel on 14 April 2019 for an hour and a half from 2 pm to 3:30 pm. The show was hosted by the famous Tamil anchor Archana. TV channels host different events on special occasions. One of the important festivals for the Tamil people is the Tamil New Year, Puthandu. The same is celebrated as their new year with a different name in a few other states of the country such as Assam, West Bengal, Kerala, Tripura, Bihar, Odisha, Punjab, Himachal Pradesh, and Haryana. Other countries, Nepal, Bangladesh, Myanmar, Cambodia, Laos, Thailand, and Sri Lanka, celebrate the same day as their new year with a different name. The day usually falls in the month of April, according to the Hindu Calendar.

Zee Play School is an entertainment event where TV stars belonging to the Zee Tamil channel come together to celebrate the festival. The show had a school theme. The set is decorated beautifully with flower garlands and lights. In the centre of the stage is a blackboard to give the appearance of a classroom. On either side of the stage are seats for the guests in the form of school benches with books and stationery on them. All the guests and anchors dressed up in traditional attire to mark the culture of the state. They are all given ID cards to put around their necks. The guests called the anchors ‘teachers’ to keep up the act. They are divided into two teams, and all the activities are done in the form of a competition between the two. A little bit of comedy is also seen in between the activities, further entertaining the viewers.

The first activity was that the person needs to place the other end of a spatula in their mouth and hold an apple on it. They should walk a certain distance and drop the fruit in a basket without touching it. One person from each team played the game. They show fold origami papers into boats and leave them in an inflatable bath tub arranged in the centre of the stage. The team that has more floating boats wins. The third round is ‘Arivika’, which tests the knowledge of the students. Each team gets a few questions, and each can be asked by one person of the anchor’s choice. The question is displayed on the screen at the back of the stage along with four options. They need to pick the right answer. The fourth round is ‘Find The Word Anga Erika Board’.

Two people from one team play this game at once. One of them is thrown in a pit filled with balloons, each with a letter written on it. Another person is next to the white board. The anchor says a word, and the players need to arrange the word with the balloons on the white board. The fifth round is ‘Satya Shodane’. A clip from a movie is displayed on the screen. One team needs to recreate the scene with the props provided to them. In the last round, the two teams play one-on-one. Whoever drinks the maximum number of coconuts directly wins. The show ended with the anchor distributing gifts to the participants.
