The show Priyamudan KB was similar to an interview. The one who is interviewed is MR. K. Balachander, who is popularly known as KB. KB is a film-maker and playwright who mainly worked in the Tamil film industry. He is appreciated for his brilliant work, the way he directs a movie with contemporary themes and bringing forward movies with subjects which hit hard. He started his career as a screenplay writer in 1964 and later promoted as a director through his first film titled ‘Neerkumizhi.’ 

He worked in the film industry for more than 50 years and known as a tough task giver for the artists who worked with him. His movies had social themes which other directors did not want to bring forward. He also worked in Telugu, Kannada, and Hindi industries. In his life time, he had won nine National film awards, thirteen film-fare awards, Padmashri award (fourth highest civilian award), and Dadasaheb Phalke award (highest award in Indian film industry). He had directed more than 100 films throughout his career. Then he started his own production company known as Kavithalaya Productions House and started produing TV serials.

In this show, Priyamudan KB, he tells his experience and memories about his career. The show starts with KB greeting everyone and telling that a playwright can end up a play with the carnation of Lord Rama or the self-sacrifice of goddess Seetha, because it is his own kind of thinking, and nothing can be blamed.
