Mr. and Mrs. Chinnathirai is the reality show aired on Star Vijay TV. As the name Mr. and Mrs. Chinnathirai indicates, it is the show where the couple from the small screens of Tamil showcase their talents and compete with each other to win the grand prize. Ma Ka Pa Anand hosted this show. Gopinath, Vijayalakshmi, and Devadarshini were the judges of this show. Ten couples from Tamil television took part in the show. The show premiered on January 29, 2019. The grand finale of this program aired on 19 May 2019. It had a total of 16 episodes, each airing every week on Sunday at 6.30 pm on Vijay TV. At the end of each episode, a couple or two may get eliminated depending upon their scores. The various rounds of this show are listed below. The first is Athu ready kitchen round where the couples show their culinary and co-ordination skills. The next stage is Shopping round, followed by Family round where the contestants' family will meet them and entertain us.

The best part of the show is Mummy Daddy round where the couples entertain the little celebrities. Some of the other interesting rounds are re-living the wedding day where the life partners remind their wedding ceremony and share the beautiful moments. While all have beautiful moments together, Manimegalai and Hussain share their emotional experiences. Besides these, the contestants also entertain us with their talents like acting, singing, and dancing. Mr and Mrs Chinnathirai was well received by the Tamil people. Due to its big success, Vijay TV renewed the show for the second season.
