Tamil Tv Show Jodi No 1 Season 2

Jodi No 1 Season 2 Tamil tv-shows on VIJAY TV

Jodi no 1 is a Tamil dance reality show which pits a number of celebrity couples against each other. It was started in 2006 and has completed 8 seasons as of now. The show’s concept is similar to that of the Hindi reality show Nach Baliye. But the major difference between both the shows is that Jodi no 1 also features 4 fictional reel life couples along with 4 real life celebrity couples which make it all the more exciting for the audience as they get to witness their favorite small screen couples in a totally different avatar than the characters they play in their favorite serials.

The show also showcases the behind the scenes of the participants’ lives like the effort they put into their performance each week, their dance rehearsals, interviews with their families and friends and also the regular aspects of their daily lives. It also explores the relationship they share behind the camera.

Following the huge success of season 1, Vijay TV launched the second season of the show amidst huge expectations from the fans of the show. This season also featured eight celebrity couples, six reel life and two real life couples, competing against each other like its previous season. The three judges of the season were Tamil actors Silambarasan and Sangeetha along with the famous choreographer Sundaram. This season was hosted by small screen actors Deepak Dinkar and Divyadarshini and the participants included Irfan and Monisha Ravishankar, Venkat and Nisha, Tinku and Preethi, Dev and Aishwarya, Prithviraj and Uma Riyaz Khan, Shri and Krithika, Aravind and Lakshmi and Yugendran and Malini.

The show also featured special guests in season 2 like famous actors Prabhudeva, Ramyakrishna, Sneha, Jeeva, Priyamani etc each week giving their valuable inputs and suggestions on the participants’ performances and also entertaining the audiences by performing special acts for them.

The participants’ position in the show each week was determined by the scores given by the judges and the votes received by the audiences based on their dance performances. And based on these scores and votes, the couples who get the least scores and votes by the audiences are eliminated each week leaving the best three participants for the grand finale. The top three contestants of this season were Irfan and Monisha Ravishankar, Venkat and Nisha and Tinku and Preethi. And the winners of the season were reel life couple Tinku and Preethi, who won the show with large accolades and a whopping number of votes from the judges and audiences alike.
