Tamil Tv Show Bigg Boss

Bigg Boss Tamil is the Tamil language version of the popular Hindi reality television show called Bigg Boss. Big Boss is a Hindi language adaptation of a Dutch reality show called Big Brother that first aired in 1999 becoming one of the most-watched reality shows in the world. The success of the show made many executive heads of many networks trying to adapt the show into their respective languages so that the indigenous audience could also watch and enjoy the show. Bigg Boss is one such initiation by the popular network Viacom 18 and Star India network who together produced this show.

In Tamil, the show was telecast by Star Vijay. The show’s format remains the same. Certain popular celebrities are selected and put in a house in which they have to stay together for 100 days. The house in which they live is cut-off from the outside world and is laced with cameras so that viewers can watch the events happening inside the house. The contestants are given several tasks each day to compete and whoever loses or misbehaves is punished accordingly. The viewers have to vote for their favorite contestants or they will be evicted. The last four among all the contestants have to fight for the title and reward. Kamal Haasan hosted the show and the first season started airing on 25 June 2017. The winner of the first season was Aarav.
