Kaalabairavan is a TV serial aired on Jaya TV from Monday to Friday at 6.30 in the evening. The thriller soap opera aired for a total of 177 episodes. The show started on 9 December 2013, and it ended on 25 August 2014. Each episode was 20 to 22 minutes long. The show was written and directed by Rajiv Priyan. It was produced by K.A.K. Asath.

The show starts when five different families and they learn that their great grandparents owned a temple of lord Shiva, but it was closed due to some dispute. They want to open the temple, once again and start all the rituals. For the past 50 years, the temple is locked. They don't know a lot about the temple, and no one has a clue what has happened in the past 50 years. They want to open the temple and started all the rituals. Only then, they find out that someone has stolen the idol of Lord Shiva. Now they get furious at such acts, and they want to find out who has the idol. They all suspect each other of robbery because the idol is very rare and is worth millions. They call the police to investigate the robbery of the idol.

Police started their inquiry. Now the people hide some facts from the police that they don't want everyone to know about it. They all have some secrets that they are afraid to tell and think that if anyone knows about these secrets, it'll be bad. But slowly their secrets start to reveal, and they find out that no one is pure of heart and everyone has done some bad deeds.

Now it is interesting to see who has stolen the idol and if it's still in its old form. 

Another Version Of This Serial

“Kalabairavan” is a Tamil TV serial that was aired on Jaya channel, from 9 December 2013. Bhairava Puram is a picturesque village in Tamil Naidu and has been maintained by five families of ancient inhabitants of the same village for centuries.

Five families are-: Kaliyaperumal, Ganesan, Dharmalingam, Kadavarayan, and Arya Bhashyam. About fifty years ago the ceremonies of the Temple were disrupted during a dispute between Ganesan and Kadavarayan, Dharmalingam stayed in BhairavaPuram.  Kaliyaperumal and Arya Bhashyam left the village and settled in a nearby village.

Kaliyaperumal and Arya Bhashyam's efforts to reunite in the temple of Kalabhairava result in an attempt by the five heirs to start the temple repairs. But again, the disputes happen as the Five heirs go to the temple to perform pooja, the idol of Kalabhairava has disappeared. Deputy Commissioner Arundhati has entrusted with the responsibility of investigating the matter.
