Chinna Papa Periya Papa is one of the best comedy serials produced by Raadhika’s Radan Media Networks. When the entire television industry was focussing on melodramatic family oriented subjects, Radan Media ventured into a comedy serial - Chinna Papa Periya papa. Actress 'Sripriya Sethupathi', a commendable artist, played the role of Chinna Pappa and Nirosha (Radhika’s sister) was Periya Pappa. This hilarious serial is about Mother-in-law and daughter-in-law feud. 

The rib tickler attracted all sorts of audience irrespective of age and gender. It was the only serial which maintained the top slot for close to four years of its airing.TheTitle song was rendered by Pushpavanam Kuppusamy, one of the leading folk artists of Tamil Nadu. Directed by Vikramathithan, the sequel to this was made with actress Nalini and Vikramathithan, the sequel to this was made with actress Nalini and Devadarshini in the lead.

Sripriya (as Chinna Pappa): An actress who was a leading heroine in all South Indian languages in 1970's and 80's, Sripriya is also a trained classical dancer. Besides acting, she is also into production and direction, the recent one being the Telugu version of “Drushyam”. She also lent her voice as a dubbing artist. She has played a fantastic role as Chinna Pappa in the teleserial, Chinna Papa Periya papa which proved her versatility as a comedienne. She is married to 'Rajkumar Sethupathi'.

Nirosha (as Periya Pappa):Nirosha, the younger sister of actress Radhika Sarathkumar, born in Srilanka was introduced by Director Manirathinam in his film “Agni Natchathiram”, as one of the lead pairs. Within a short span of time, she was one of the top leading heroines who acted in all the four South Indian languages, Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam and Kannada. Her role as “Periya Papa” was her first tele-serial which also gave her lot of scope to perform as a comedienne.She is married to actor 'Ramki'.

M.S. Bhaskar (as Ambi-Pattabi): M.S.Bhaskar, a theatre and a dubbing Artiste, played numerous roles both on the small screen and big screen. He gained popularity as “Pattabi” in Chinna Papa Periya papa, though he started acting in tele-serials earlier in Doordarshan. He played a very important role in Soodhu Kavvum and was appreciated for his commendable performance in the film ‘Arima Nambi’. He has dubbed for over 1000 films and he is the brother of famous dubbing artist Hema Malini which was the reason people recognised him initially as “Hema Bhaskar” until he created a niche~ for himself as M.S.Bhaskar.
