Azhagiya Tamil Magal serial deals with the story of a beautiful girl Poongodi, who plays Kabaddi and knows Bharatanatyam very well. She always dreams about achieving her goals and study well. But her mother did not allow Poongodi to do all those things because of her bitter past. Poongodi's father left her mother because of his family restrictions. Her mother suffered a lot and worked hard for her children, but she wants her children to be happy.Â
Poongodi's grandfather and her teacher supported her and encouraged her to participate in a kabaddi competition. That game changed her life and brought her to Chennai by giving her fund for higher education. But her rival Deepika tries to pull her down. Later the twist is revealed that Poongodi is her half-sister. She overcomes many hurdles and difficulties caused by Deepika.
Along with all these complications, there is a love triangle between Deepika, Jeeva, and Poongodi. Later the story continues, how she manages all the circumstances and how her life changed after the truth is revealed and how it affects the whole family.
