Aarthi lives in an affectionate family, including her mother, father, sister, brother, and wife. She is married to the son of the businessman Prithvi. Prithvi's elder son is Mahesh. Sudha and Ravi are his siblings. Mahesh is a responsible person. He loves Shalini against his father’s wish. When Prithvi comes to know about Mahesh's love, he makes Aarthi Mahesh’s wife. 

Prithvi explains everything to Aarthi’s family and thinks his family prestige means him more than anything. Even after the whole family accepts Aarthi, Mahesh and his mother deny. Mahesh lives with Aarthi for his father's happiness. So he feels every day about Shalini. Aarthi struggles in her life living with Mahesh, who hates her. One day guilty Mahesh leaves Aarthi and his family. Aarthi gets disappointed and feels for Mahesh. She came to her father’s house as her mother is unwell.

At the same time, Sudha, Mahesh’s sister, loves Anand, her relative. Both the family accepts their love and confirms their marriage. Aarthi hides Mahesh’s withdrawal from her parents. But Prithvi exposes everything. Her father feels for her as she is living an unhappy life. The whole family discusses for Aarthi’s well being and plans to keep Aarthi with her mother till Mahesh’s arrival. Will Mahesh return home? Will Aarthi live a happy life? The answers form the rest of the story. Eshwari Rao, as Aarthi, played well as a normal housewife. Venu Arvind, as Mahesh, portrayed him as a silent character and a guilty person. Deepak plays Anand, a humorous person. But he also suits the emotional scenes well. The serial is popular among the audience, as it depicts the struggle of a girl after marriage.
