The plot of the serial is about Vaibhav Malwankar who is married to Lakshmi. His wife, Lakshmi is a very simple and supporting wife who stands for Vaibhav. Vaibhav lives in the house of his in-laws. Lakshmi’s father supports Vaibhav, but his mother-in-law and Lakshmi’s brother make fun of him. As he is not able to get any acting roles. He faces a lot of negative comments and decides to try for one last time. He gets the role of a lady in the serial ‘Saubhagyawati’. To change over his life and make his wife happy, he decides to take up the role. His life is changed forever because he had to live a double life both as a lady and as a man. He hides this fact from everybody. He becomes very popular and earns his name and fame. At the end of the story, the truth is revealed to everyone and the serial ends on a happy note.
