Season 8 is a Malayalam music reality show that was telecasted on Asianet. It is a music competition where contestants ranging from age 15 to 35 years can participate. The winner is selected based on their singing skills and the entertainment of the audience. The show consists of various judges who are famous and well-known in the Malayalam Entertain Industry. It is broadcast every Saturday and Sunday at 8 pm. The performance of the contestants is evaluated by judges and scores are given at every round of competition. The audience gave their votes through text messaging the best performing contestants and a small weightage was given to the votes by the audience.
Every season thousands of participants come to the auditions, but only a few were shortlisted for the final round. At every stage, there is an elimination round.
