The accident was so ferocious that they couldn’t even recover his wife’s body. He got left with a daughter whom he must raise all on his own. His daughter Devanthi sees her father and the challenges he takes up through her formative years. She sees her father transform from a straightforward person to a drunkard who routinely drowns his sorrows in liquor. He finds it very difficult to maintain control of himself. She hopes every day that today might be the day when her father reforms his ways and gets his life back on track.

Devanthi gets convinced that her father would lift himself back up if he gets married and settles down once again. To this end, she feels that her sweet and charming Professor Archana will be a perfect fit for him. She is certain that those two belong together and can get along well. She tries to set them both up and interested in one another. Her Professor, however, has skeletons in her won closet and gets troubled by a tumultuous past of her own.
