Parijatham is a Malayalam soap drama that was aired on Asianet Plus. It was broadcasted in the year 2008 from Monday to Friday at 7:30 pm. The series had a total of 663 episodes. The serial is centered on two identical twins, Aruna and Seema, while they both are incompatible. They both tend to possess different behavior. Aruna seems to be polite, sensible and prefers to be a traditional girl. On the other hand, Seema likes to dress in modern attire and is also courageous. Their opinion about their marital life also differs as Aruna prefers her husband to be a caring person while Seema wants to marry a rich person and settle down in her life.

Despite their differences in life, the twins happen to meet Jaipal, who is a wealthy man, but he is narcissistic and philanderer. Seema falls in love with him so that she can lead a luxurious life, and things get heated up when he falls in love with Aruna without knowing that she is a twin of Seema. As the serial progress, Seema marries Mohanan and leads a happy life. At the same time, Aruna's marriage gets terminated when Jaipal’s mom Lalitha brainwashes him not to marry Aruna, but they end up marrying each other. A twist swirls in the serial as, Jaipal and his mom illtreats Aruna every day and criticizes her, and hearing upon all these Seema decides to take revenge and teach them a lesson. Hence, she disguises herself as Aruna and also succeeds in gaining Jaipal's love towards Aruna and makes him throw his mother out of the house by listing her devious plans. The story concludes by portraying the bond between the sisters.
